With Lotb, we can manage a lot of blogs although those blogs be in different hosts, use different databases and different software.

This is possible because Lotb and the blogs communicate themselves using messages. Each message is digital signed to guarantee the identity of the sender and protect the entire system of external malicious messages.

Messages are divided in two groups: synchronous and asynchronous messages.

Synchronous messages are used for high priority tasks, such as adding blogs into the system or communicating changes in the public key.

Asynchronous messages are used for common tasks. Adding users, sending posts and comments are in this group.
